Well, that is a good point for those who need the help.  I think a  
bit differently though.  I go where my $ go the furthest.  I'm lucky  
though, as I have no use for outside support.  Be it hardware,  
software, what ever, I do it all myself.  Heck, I don't trust anyone  
else to do it right!  I've seen and heard way too many horror  
stories, and been able to help a few people do the 'impossible' to be  
able to trust 'the experts'.  I have no use for extended warranties  
of any sort as I believe they are designed to generate revenue for  
the seller, not help the purchaser.
But like I said, I'm lucky to be able to do it myself.
