Insert the page number followed by a blank line on the top line of the page above the chapter title. The page number will disappear in to the DAISY page number tag just like all the rest of them, but the hapter title will not be the first paragraph on the page so it won't be eaten.

But how do you "protect" them?

Barbara

In addition to what has already been said, make certain that chapter numbers and titles in the text remain there and that they are protected from the infamous BookShare stripper.
One of the tragedies of BookShare is that many otherwise well prepared books lose their value to some users as chapter titles and page numbers disappear.
It's hard to begin reading in Chapter 4 if you cannot find Chapter 4 or the end of Chapter 3 <smile>!!
