I always get confused by the terminology lean and rich... So when I say 1.3:1 I'm referring to the O/F ratio. In other words 1.3 times more oxidizer mass flow then fuel. If I run the main engine at about 1:1 O/F then the hot gas temp will be somewhat lower.
