Paula,
You're right about the need for detail; it's hard to tell the difference
between 2 and z, 1 and I and l, 8 and B, 0 and o; those are problems for me
even after all these years. I dread it when I have to get a serial number
that has letters and numbers in it in random upper and lower case, with
numeric and alphabetic characters. Sometimes it takes a few tries before
it's right. So we definitely need small pins or reeds, and a lot of them.
