I'd like to thank anyone in advance if they intend to send in old
battery packs for reuse by the technicians/engineers; but just a small
correction to point out... it was only the Navigator range of
Telesensory braille displays that used the same battery module as the
Optacon II. The Powerbraille range had standard C-size batteries
installed.

One of our list members suggests that I remind everyone that the
batteries
from old Braille Navigators and also PowerBrailles are the same as those
used in the Optacon II. If anyone has any of these batteries, working or
not, our repairers would love to have them. As I said earlier, they can
replace the internal cells but they need the original housing.
