Pathology in a major hospital in Houston, one of the doctors
said I worked in two languages, because of Braille and my
Optacon.

I received my first Optacon in 1997. When I began working at
the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, after a
while, I received my certification to teach. I really
enjoyed that. I still have my original Optacon and the
smaller one with two batteries. I wouldn't be without them
for anything in the world.

I would like to be blessed with an Optacon so I can readagain. I miss

Pat,
I got my training the same summer, with our classroom in
Hotel and reading my first Optacon book called, "The RatCatcher of
Coomow" or something like that. I was probably reading
a levelhave
equivalent to fifth grade, but I was reading!

Hello Anne.
As I'm sure you will know, the advantage of an
array isis that you
can use any finger on either hand to read, as the
whichopen, and
not in an enclosed space as in the Optacon R 1 D,
"unsubscribe"limits you to
the index finger on your left hand.
Best wishes,
Peter
