I got both my optacons out today to check that they’re both working. They
haven’t been used much in the past two years since I had a TIA which deprived
me of feeling in the whole of my left side. I tried the R1D earlier this year
and could just about use it, but only with my middle finger as my index finger
is still numb. However today, I managed at last to read a little with my
Optacon ii.
Losing the feeling in my left hand was a huge blow to me, but it’s coming back
slowly as I use it as much as possible.
Getting older really isn’t a walk in the park!
