My IP is currently 65.93.50.136. The webserver takes that and resolves
it to London-HSE-ppp3552063.sympatico.ca. A whois on that address turns
up:

Search results for: 65.93.50.136

Bell Canada BELLNEXXIA-10 (NET-65-92-0-0-1)
                                  65.92.0.0 - 65.95.255.255
Bell Nexxia (High Speed) HSLON-CA (NET-65-93-0-0-1)
                                  65.93.0.0 - 65.93.63.255

Looking up the domain name as well can reveal the country of origin. All
this can take place very quickly and easily as the results are always
generated in the same format requiring not a whole lot of programming
skill to take the country out of the records.

For some reason I think that Amazon did this. Perhaps I haven't cleaned
out my cookies and that's how they new. *shrug* If they don't, then
maybe I can patent that idea ;>

As for Google censoring,

http://yro.slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=02/10/24/120223&mode=thread&tid=1
53

That's for Germany and France. I thought I had read something about
Google being allowed back into China, but I must be mistaken.
