The only way for that to be even remotely true would have been to
sacrifice industrial capacity elsewhere in the war effort. That would
have cost Germany dearly, as it's economy was already running flat out
- and it wasn't enough. Shifting to V2 production would have made
things even worse than it was, as the V2 was a hideously economically
inefficient way to inaccurately deliver a relatively small amount of
explosive.
The first successful V-2 flight was back in 1943. Of cource the A-Bomb on top
of the V-2 would of been it but
once again Hitler's antisemitism drove out the Jewish scientists including
Einstein which would of given Germany
the brains to build the bomb..So many if's,thank God for the rest of the
world.
Again, no. It doesn't matter how many brains you have or what their
quality is - you can't build something you aren't looking to build.
And Germany, despite mountains of postwar propaganda to the contrary,
had plenty of brilliant scientists and engineers and wasn't trying to
build atomic weapons. Even if they were, they would have rapidly run
into the same economic problem. They simply didn't have the spare
capacity.
