I'm not that familiar with imacs, but I'm pretty sure they don;t have an external monitor port.... unless you can fit it with a video card, I don't think you're going to get it working with another monitor (mac or pc). Best thing to do, if you want to save all your info, would be to open it up and scoop the drive. Then put the drive in another IDE mac and copy the contents.
