Old NASA records go to the National Archives and Records Administration.
Their physical location will vary depending on the source.

Poke around to see if you can find what you want. Such as:

That appears to indicate the records are in Fort Worth. It has been a
long time since I visited and copied some Mercury drawings. I don't
remember seeing anything on the shuttle then.
