In April, USC launched Traveler IV from Spaceport America, and today they
announced that their data analysis shows 90% confidence that it crossed 100
km. It's quite an accomplishment for a student team.
The rocket was just a single stage solid with apparently lots of attention
paid to weight reduction. In the landed photo the parachute looks small,
but it's probably just a really light airframe.
