Hi, I use an Optacon II which I prefer, because the battery is not built into
the unit and I find the array to be better. The only problem I have is when it
is cold, the pins inthe array on the Optacon II are out before I even turn it
on, which makes it difficult to read. I can put the intensity at 3 or 4
especially when it is warm, but sometimes need to put it as high as 10 when it
is cold. You probably think this is crazy, but the weather does seem to affect
it. I have two Optacon II's and they both do the same thing when the weather is
cold.
