Thank you all for your kind words. No, reading bottles is almost
impossible for me. The movements are too difficult: one wrong touch and
the bottle moves.

did today. Reading labels on round bottles can be difficult. I find if I
put the bottle between two objects to keep it from rolling away it is easier
to read. If the bottle is still then I can roll it gently a bit at a time
under the camera until I locate the information I need. I do wish labels
were easier to peel off so they could lay flat for reading.

I found a vile of medication and the braille label
had fallen off. I
tried to read it with the optacon, but I am not good at reading viles or
bottles. I found the label was coming off, so I gently removed it and put
it flat on the table. I was able to read that it was Amlodipine, a
medication I take. This was very important, so I was able to label the
vile in braille. A small thing, but something I could never had done
without the optacon. Reading viles and bottles is difficult for me, and I
was so glad I was able to get the label off. it was a risky strategy, but
it worked.
