Scrip Talk is an electronic device with rechargeable
battery, that reads prescription information. When a
prescription is filled or refilled, a chip has to be stuck
onto the bottom of the medicine container. You turn on the
Scrip Talk, and when it is ready, you put your medicine
container over the device with the sticker side (on the
bottom of a bottle) parallel to the floor a few inches above
the Scrip Talk. It reads all of the information, name of
patient, physician, pharmacy, contact information for
pharmacy, medication, amount dispensed, instructions on how
and when to take the medications, when the prescription
expires, how many, if any refills there are. It is a product
of a company called Envision America.
