Excellent, Bob! I had similar experiences identifying medicines, varnish,
paints, etc., for which I used the Optacon. It's great to be able to take
care of things fairly independently because of it. I plan to use the Optacon
for as long as I possibly can in addition to using other equipment or apps
where applicable.

Hi, it's Bob in NY.
I found a vile of medication and the braille label
had fallen off. I
tried to read it with the optacon, but I am not good at reading viles or
bottles. I found the label was coming off, so I gently removed it and put
it flat on the table. I was able to read that it was Amlodipine, a
medication I take. This was very important, so I was able to label the
vile in braille. A small thing, but something I could never had done
without the optacon. Reading viles and bottles is difficult for me, and I
was so glad I was able to get the label off. it was a risky strategy, but
it worked.
