I have used my Optacon a lot to read charted knitting patterns, yes it is
time-consuming but definitely doable. When my nephews were little, I made
several sweaters with pictures on them and was very successful. Some knitting
patterns have the chart, but they also include written directions.

and back home. I'm thinking what book to start with.
second, I wonder if anyone has any experience with reading knitting patterns
or their drawings. Sorry, I don't know the correct English word for these.
Could I take advantage of these drawings with OptaCon? Of course, I can't
see colours, since I'm totally blind. It is my belief that colours play a
role in these drawings.
