Not sure about the DVD access, Tee. I presume you've assigned one of the
Rogers' remote's topmost buttons specifically to the DVD player, and are
pressing that button before trying to operate the player from the Rogers unit
(this is the part my wife still hasn't figured out).
I wonder if the reason for the Volume and Mute controls not responding is that
you use separate speakers that are connected directly to your stereo system
rather than feeding into your television. If so, do the Volume and Mute
controls work when you have those speakers turned off and are just using the
TV's speakers?
