because of the billions spent on developing them. GE is spending more to
support the upgrades to the GE90 than the entire development costs of
Merlin and BE-4 combined. On the other hand, if you want a cheap, simple,
inefficient, and unreliable jet engine, you can get a Motorlet 701 for
around $10k.
