Mary,
I had the same sort of table when I was at IBM. Actually, they had
adapted one of those tables that were used for slide projectors, and
they had also placed a board on the left side of the screen, so I
could put my optacon there and the text I had to translate.
I had a second optacon on my desk, which I used to consult
dictionaries and other reference material...
IBM had bought blind optacons for all switchboard operatora (there
were no programmers in Milan at the time), and two of them didn't
want theirs, so I got them. When I left IBM, they gave them to me
together with a braille display. In those days, IBM was giving
incentives for people to leave... I asked for my optacons and braille
display instead of money, and we were all very, very happy! LOL

I must try lcd. Has anyone used optacon on one of those new Netbooks?
I would like to buy one with Linux...
Ciao,
Ollie
