[optacon-l] Very Briefly, a signage experience

In the company of a sighted person I recently went to the Port Authority
bus Terminal in midtown Manhattan. We were looking for the location of
ticket windows for a particular bus company and then the location of a
particular bus. There were many many signs. Unfortunately, many of them
had arrows pointing in misleading directions. By following information on
a sign, we kept finding ourselves in entirely thw wrong place. We ended up
consulting a harrassed commutor, also no cops or personnel to ask.
Signs are often over-rated. Information often changes, but the signs
remain.
