OOPS ! Just noticed Barry's posting was for Shareware
Sorry folks , perhaps my list below is off topic - thought I'd better
make it clear that none of it is shareware
but all have a free demo period to try them out before purchase

Sorry if I mislead any one

And a final thought? from WWW Walker's Wit & Wisdom

This looks to be a very helpful and time saving iniative on your part
for the rest of us , Barry . Thanks very much

I think many others could add their particular favourites and good/not
so good experiences. I hope they all do.

It may save a whole lot of searching on Version Tracker or via sites
like Locker Gnome

A cautionary word ? Being a strict novitiate in technical matters, I
listen to some who have warned me against introducing shareware etc
which may contain hidden bugs which screw up the Apple system, desktop
etc or create 'refer back' delays?

I'm certainly going to take the time ( where are those 25 hours day?!)
to explore your suggestions and provide some feedback. Suggest it would
be useful if other members could do likewise ?

A beginning from me re some recent acquisiions :

DevonThink and DevonAgent
Easyfind
Web confidential
URL Navigator Pro
Notepad
Novamind
Sbook5 (terrific!)

(still examining following)
You control
Fruit Menu
MacJournal

Boy! You may really have started something here , Barry!

A further survey re the Major Software favourites of MUGLO Members !
