A few years ago, these cameras were either overpriced or not readily available. I went the other route......an ADS converter box for $200. http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2727956&CatId=1424 You plug in video from any source; camera, video cassette player, etc., and it converts to digital via firewire output. All Mac applications recognize it as a firewire video camera. I have one if you want to try it out.
