That might be a better idea as there may not be a fix as such. Apple  
has convinced virtually all peripheral manufacturers to include  
Bonjour interface now which works well with new units cross-platform.  
I had a really hard time even finding a driver that worked at all for  
my Samsung, that's why I'm tempted to leave well enough alone. I did  
have an issue with outdated twain drivers for my scanner which caused  
CS crashes, so I just deleted the drivers and accept not being able to  
scan into any Adobe app directly. I'm at my upgrade limit now with  
Leopard on my G4's, so it's not going to get any worse.(Knock on wood)
