- Welcome: I've recently seen a few of your logs and the first thing I thought of was a (former) north county Catholic High School that went by AMH. No Magellan tips, but if you go to the geocaching.com site, in the forums are a lot of "how to type topics" http://forums.groundspeak.com/gc/ However, IMHO, the people on there tend to become a bit cranky when someone asks a question that has already been asked more than once. That does not happen on THIS local (SLAGA) list -- no, we can go over things again and again. LOL Which, really is great because perhaps the first time it's being discussed it may not pertain to you, you might not understand it, or you might just miss it. Then, once you start using all the GPS features, downloadable programs etc, someone here will either have the answer or point you in the direction to figure it out. Spend some time poking around on the website, SLAGA's and geocaching.com. There are many pages on the links sections, especially on SLAGA that can be fun. Poke around on the actual cache web page. Click links and watch what happens. Do a few RGS caches. Also, don't pay let the butt rot scare you off. It happens .. My family is new to geocaching. We seen the article in the STL Post Dispatch and since then we have been hooked. Prior to the article, we had never heard of geocaching. > Secondly, we purchased a Magellan Gold. So far we have been able to find eleven caches. I was just wondering if anyone had any helpful hints about the Magellan or anything to avoid. Thanks for the help and I look forward to meeting you all. > > Brad Myers (AMH209) > **************************************** Our WebPage!
