[GeoStL] Palm Puter

Well I am finally making it into the 21st century
though as always I am years behind still. I bought a
Palm IIIxe and it is actually pretty nice and I think
it will do what I want it to do. #1 of which is to go
paperless caching. However the box came with no
instruction manual ....The Palm itself appears fairly
simple and I have mastered the various programs that
are on it. I have also downloaded Plucker and Spinner
and printed out the page of instructions for
downloading pocket queries and loading them onto the
Palm. However I have not been able to get the Palm and
the PC to hotsync or talk with each other. Does the
serial cable have to be plugged into a specific port?
Any ideas from you experts in technology?
