Thanks for this. I am happy with the Touch so far, although I do hope
the side button can be used more, although I do see why it would
be hard to do with alternative apps. Thanks for reaching out, though.

Hello all-------------------------------
That button on the side is primarily used for camera actions but
unfortunately cannot be directly mapped easily to 3rd party app
functions. We will be integrating it further into our own apps, but
for something like Hangouts, you need to activate the notification
from the lock screen. This is the same with Facebook notifications
etc. Very similar to what you do on your iPhones and smartphones in
general. One tip is that you can jump to the notification quickly if
you hear the hangouts calling sound by simply typing H and you will
jump to the hangouts notification.
I am often monitoring this and other lists and we appreciate your
feedback. The BrailleNote Touch continues to evolve and is, in many
ways still in its infancy, being the first and only google certified
braille tablet. We lay the groundwork for future updates this summer
with a new updating mechanism along with other features that will be
available in version 4.0.

You might have to unlock the Touch, and the dialog for answering
should be there, over everything else. If now, the answer button may
be on the lock screen when you get a call. It’s rather sad: I rarely
find a use for that button on the side.
