You are correct. The only time one sees an email address on the
submission page in the validation pool is when the submitter enters it in
the comment field.
Otherwise, you are left to your own exploratory or knowledge skills to
place the name with an email address.
With popular uploaders, this isn't a problem. With that occasional
uploader or someone not on one of the email lists, it becomes somewhat of
a challenge.
