It is the quality of the software much more than the scanner hardware. Use
of optimize scan can create absolute miracles. The editing features I
mentioned are available in version 9 and upward and can be invoked from
within rank spelling. They allow on the fly editing by context which is
often the best way to find out what is going on with a spelled word. f3
will take you from one occurance of a misspelling to the next.
