Hi Cindy,

I think the most important reason txt files are still around is for the old scans people have kept.
In the past I always used to scan to txt because for my purposes it was my preferred format, and if you go back far enough, the only format possible to save easily. I still have a whole slew of txt books, but I haven't wanted to take the time necessary to check for the essential info and do a quality check on them, especially considering the difficulty they seem to cause.
