Absolutely Jackie! I think most of the volunteers hold to your standard of
quality. There really are just a handful of folks who consistently submit
poor quality scans of books that can easily be scanned well. I am in no way
criticizing folks for volunteering to earn credit toward a subscription.
All of us who are both members and volunteers use our credits to pay for
some or all of our subscriptions. And my purpose is in no way to deny
anyone access to BookShare. I just know that most of us work hard at
building this collection and I hoped to find a solution for something that
has been a consistent problem.

Policy change is one way to approach it, but as that hasn't happened yet, I
was looking for a painless way to get things moving. I have access to a lot
of books, I don't mind scanning books that I'd never read in a million
years, but if others want to read them, then I want them to have access to
them. They'll never have this access if the book remains on step one
because of poor quality which can be fixed.

Okay, I think I've had too much coffee today!

Here's to finding a solution!
