My experience to date in recording onto iMac ( intel duo core) is that the spoken word ( Comedy) comes across fine, but i much prefer the analog music original to it's digital copy. Perhaps the TEAC 350 will sound better , it would be good to know. Also if any small gizmo similar to " instant music" can turn digital output back into analog at the stereo unit input. It seems the digital dynamic range is too great, so that one constantly turns the volume up or down . Maybe i am just an analog person , along with the original instruments. I believe Toshiba has a unit that takes LP input (and possibly tapes too) straight to CD but the cost was about $400-$500 if my memory serves me. I'm not sure if the conversion was mpeg3 or ACC format. Martin On 6-Dec-06, at 8:12 PM, Bob McDaniel wrote: > Thanks, Ken.
