A much easier way is to use a "Firewire" cable. I have a spare if  
you'd like to borrow it, it's a very fast way to transfer any type of  
data from one computer to another, even programmes. Both of your  
computers have Firewire.
BTW "a new iBook", did you sell the one I sold you?
