Hmmm. You're asking me to delve back into memories filed under 'ossified' ;=
-).
I don't expect that OS 9 would alert you to the presence of the blank
CD, even if your computer was capable of burning CDs.
There's an application that comes with OS 9 that should allow you to
burn CDs. Do a search on your computer for Burn or check inside the
Applications/Utilities folder for an application with the word Burn in
it and you should find what you're looking for.
Caveat: With your particular software you will only be able to burn
ONCE to that CD. If you had something like Toast 5.0 you would be able
to burn multiple times until the disc is full.
PS you can probably buy Toast 5.0 for a song on eBay now! Toast 5.0 is
a great burning software and will give you a lot finer control and
allow you to use CDs much more efficiently.
