That reminds me, last week I saw a 'reply' from Tom SoRelle that included
George Jury's sighting of an Osprey. I never saw George's original message.

Last Sunday, Sept 20, we watched the Osprey circle Dupree Park pond. It dived
to the pond, grabbed a fish, at took it to a tree for a snack.
Meanwhile, the pond had 8 Great Egrets, and at least 30 or more Snowy Egrets.
That was fun.

Not sure if anyone else has seen them, but there are at least 8-10 hawks moving
in a group over Lubbock right now. At least 2 had really straight along the
back wing with longer, squared off tails. Of the other 8, some really looked
like red-tails, but it was hard against the cloudy sky. Really only saw dark
underneath the wings with a dark brown looking body, but the tail looked a
different color. I'm in the SW loop and saw 8 headed north and 2 headed south.
