I got to Clapp when it was already hot and thought “I’ve made a huge mistake”.
I was wrong! The first half of the western side of the trail was quite birdy!
Lena arrived later and we found a male Western Tanager; Rose-breasted
Grosbeaks; Black-headed Grosbeaks; Yellow, Wilson’s, and MacGillivray’s
Warblers right up until we left a few min ago :) The fallen bridge has water
over it now.
