Poison Ivy is transmitted to the skin by oil from the
plant so anything that will remove oil should work
well. Water and soap....achohol...but just about
anything that can wash the area affected. In the wild
if you can find some Jewel Weed and rub the affected
area with that you will also not get poion ivy.

If you get it and you have the rash ...you can use
just about anything from the store or pharmacy but the
best remedy I have found is to take a regular bar of
soap and run warm water over it till it is soft on the
outside....take the softened soap and cover the
affected area with it and let it dry. This cuts off
the air from the area and will not allowed the poison
ivy to live or spread.

I personally don't get PI but some of my family has
and I have seen a lot of different remedies over the
years.

Jewel Weed contains a pink juice that is rumored to
cure poison ivy but I actually think it is the washing
effect that keeps you from getting it.
