Yes, you need to scan both sides of each page. Especially if it is in the body 
of the text - that is, after the preliminary pages, you want to keep even the 
blank pages so that the page numbering comes out right when the books are 
processed for braille translation and Daisy navigation.

page to make sure that you don't miss any part of the book during the scan?
