I do that, and there's no problems. It even works with wordpad. THe issue is that we shouldn't need to do this and I was wondering why exactly it was happening.

Noel,

When you finish saving the RTF file in K1K, open each in MSWord. At the
beginning of the file, press spacebar, backspace, and resave. You should be
able to validate without a problem.

Subject: [bksvol-discuss] rtf problems

Hey guys,
I don't knwo what the deal has been today,b ut I've validated two books
using kurzweil editing with some mixed success. I have kurzweil
9.01. I've downloaded two rtf books, and both books after re editing with
kurzweil and re uploading, I got the error (not valid rtf). Anyone else
got this? Has bookshare changed anything that would alter rtf uploading as
it has worked in the past?

Why do I continue being a problem dude? I've always been a difficult case.
