I usually have mine at 2 smile. But it depends on the scanner and the
threshhold you use.
Grayscale and 2 seconds between scans works quite nicely for me.
While with static, I need four secs, to have it in position.

Slow your scanner down to four seconds? Wow. The default is five I
think, and I usually set mine to six.
