The braille note sometimes corrupts large RTF files, so make sure to save often and also keep a second copy of the file you are working on in case the currently open copy of your work gets corrupted. The more recent your version of keysoft the less likely problems are supposed to be. :-) When you open the file say yes to reviewing the options and then tell it your file is currently text, do not translate, and retain extended ASCII characters. Choose ANSI as the extended character set. That will prevent problems with losing em-dashes and other characters. The options about paragraph or line mode confuse me, so I hope someone else has the correct answer to that question. When you are finished editing and transfer the file back to your computer, make sure the entire file still exists before uploading to bookshare. The braille note retains page breaks, so that shouldn't be a problem for you.
