Hello Pratik,

Now, don't be bad mouthing the 9100. I bought one about a year ago and all
and all it's a very nice computer for around the house and office.

I guess now I am looking for something that when I grab it I don't really
feel I have it with me.

I saw with doing some research that Toshiba has one that comes in at 2.4 lbs
but is extremely stripped down. Meaning the same processor but only two USB
ports and a wireless card. No Cd drive and no software.

You know how web sites are and I was able to find the stat sheet on the
vaio. It has four built in options for wireless including Bluetooth and
infa-red. USB and firewire.A type II I card slot, modem, Ethernet, video out
which sounds like it may take a video adapter because it has a self sensing
video option that does an auto sync. So far I am leaning toward that one.
The two I will call and ask some questions on today will be the 250 and 360.
Both have 1 gig of memory.

Kaitlyn,

This computer seems like a great slim/light weight option. It's much better
than my current Dell Inspiron 9100 clunker, which must weigh about 10
pounds.

Hello Kasondra,

Well, I spoke with Dell this week and no one seems to know of that computer
they told me about six weeks ago when I spoke with a sales rep.

I forget the one you said you are using? Was it the 1100?

Here is an option I have been reading up on and may make a call to get some
additional information.

available with select VAIO notebooks.
? Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional available
? An ultra-light 3.04 pounds
? Up to 9 hours of battery life
1
? 10.6" widescreen display with
XBRITE? technology.

Sony VGN-T350P/T
NEW

List of 6 items

I haven't found the actual spec sheets on these but from other reading they
are just under 1 inch thick and about 11 by 8.

I'll keep up by research but these is the smallest and lightest I have found
yet.

Thanks Kaitlyn. I wish I had seen that four months ago. But that's fine.
The laptop they sold me works fine for what I want it to do. I will
eventually add Kurzweil and a small Braille display, when I have the money.

This was the best option for me.
