My favourite targets are procps-ng and psmisc. pidof used to be part of psmisc back in 1997, about 6 months before I took over maintaining procps for Debian, so I think that is ancient history. procps has more maintainers and focus and pidof is almost pgrep in disguise, so I think we should put it there; after the next release.
