Thank you, Don. It does appear from the traffic I'm on this list. I
was unaware FS was "discontinuing" its Optacon list. I'm grateful

Although Telesensory Systems Inc. discontinued manufacture of the
Optacon several years ago, many loyal users are still using their
machine, looking for=20
parts to keep them running, and looking for the accessories which add
functionality to the Optacon. =20
It's also a place where interested persons can get information on the
Optacon direct from users.
ADditionally, researchers and developers of new technology for tactile
devices for reading print are welcome and encouraged to contribute
information on=20
their projects and to obtain ideas and other feedback from list members.
Anyone who has an Optacon or accessories for sale is encouraged to post
such listings to the list. =20
There are few policies here except for those common to most mail lists
of today. Please respect the opinions of others and no flaming or other
personal=20
attacks will be tolerated. =20
The moderator will remove any spammers who may appear on the list and do
so without notice. We want to keep this a friendly, respectful, and
hopefully=20
informative list which is also free from junk mail.
Please stay on topic for the list. If you feel a given subject is
straying off-topic please take it off list and to private email. =20
Finally, no attachments can be sent to the list. This is for added
protection against computer viruses which are often sent as attachments.
If you have questions concerning list policy or suggestions for
