Yes, and this--among other reasons--is why I still use my Optacon. I can't
do without it.

Although modern scanning facilities on phones are an improvement,
the Optacon is streets ahead when it comes to this time of year,
when Christmas cards come in which invariably have handwriting on
them. The only other way I know to deal with handwriting is the
