The filet charts are simple. The open squares are chain two and the filled in ones are two double crochets, or four double crochets. There should be a key to tell you which. Take care. I had to get sighted assistance to print off the charts. When I looked at the patterns with my optacon, I could see the open squares and the ones that are filled in. I'm not sure, though, that I completely understand how to interpret the charts. I think about.com also has knitting patterns, which might be useful for Tracy.
