I have both lenses and have found that the connection for the calculator
lens doesn't always lend itself to screen designs. The builders like to
make displays with interesting shaped cases that make the calculator
lens hard to use at top and bottom of the screen.
Also, the calculator lens is limited in the size of characters it can
readily haldle, larg text can be a problem.

=46inally, a quick thought and experience on the types of displays that I
have been able to read.
LED displays work better than LCD displays in general.
The more contrast, foreground to background, you can create the better.
Many times I have found that using my regular reading lens with the
lamps works because LCD displays need a source of light.
Some times you can make the other lenses work by holding them a quarter
inch or so from the screen so light can get to the area you want to see.

You might be able to read some cell phones if you can turn up the
contrast and do some experimenting with light and other factors.

Hello,
I've been using the calculator lens to read display screens for 30
years.
It's much easier to use than the CRT lens because it is much lighter in
weight. Perhaps the crt lens works on more types of monitors, but I've
never done any side by side comparisons with the calculator lens.
