The cable I had actually had three connecters. One for the master, one for the slave, and a third that could go to a monitor, or you could hook it to another cable and start the process all over again. I can't remember how many you could chain together like this but it was several. You could have a teacher and several students this way if you had the cables to connect everything together. In other words, the slave only picks up what the master does. So, when using the cord, the master is attached to the using Optacon, and the slave end (and it's been so many years, I couldn't tell you how it looks) attaches to either the screen display or to another Optacon. They are for monitor, demonstration, or teaching purposes.
