Of course, there is the element of very tight integration between Word and
Excel which you'll never get from a third party word processor :-(

Losing URLs is a *good* thing. It forces you to do housecleaning.
I suspect that a *lot* of the problems will be fixed by updating Office to
the latest version (since the installer installs 10.0 which is 2001-era
software with 2001-era bugs).
