sad to hear that george. i'm afraid we may observe more slowly dramatic
changes in the future because of climate change.

The official weather station high Saturday was 112, but at my house and
the
wildlife center it reached a legitimate 114!
I took 6 nestlings that were on the ground to the SPWRC on three different
trips and found 2 nearly ready to fledge dead on the ground. There is no
telling how many carcases I will find when I take down the houses when
they
all leave in July. Adults are still feeding a bunch of younguns.
I actually saw one dive bomb off the south side of the traditional house
into the alley!
Sad!
